What Is Company Registration?


Company registration is a simple online process, regulated by the ministry of corporate affairs, in which you just need to fill an online form and submit few documents, required for company registration.


Types of Company Registration in India

  • ONE PERSON COMPANY REGISTRATION (OPC)- One person company is a type of company registration, which can be operated by the single entrepreneur with limited liabilities and it was brought into operation by the companies ACT, 2013.

  • LIMITED LIABILITY PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATION (LLP)- Limited liability partnership registration will have more than one owner or partners with limited liabilities. It is best suitable for Consultants, Advisors and Lawyers.

  • PRIVATE LIMITED COMPANY REGISTRATION (PVT)- Private limited company registration is most prevalent company registration in India. It is more structured, systematic and beneficial than OPC and LLP.

  • PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY REGISTRATION- Public limited company registration requires at least seven members to start with and there is no limit for the maximum number of people.


Private limited company registration is the most common and trending on the charts in the present scenario. So, we will further discuss the registration of private limited companies.


Steps Required for The Private Limited Company Registration


Basic KYC documents- You need to provide the KYC of Shareholders and Directors

  • PAN

  • Aadhar card

  • Passport

  • Scan copy of photographs

  • Bank stamen of last 30 days


Business address proof- You need to provide the following documents for the business address proof.

  • Electric bill/Telephone bill/Gas bill

  • Ownership papers

  • Latest tax receipt


Apply for name approval- You need to find a unique and non-existent name for your company, which should not match with any already companies.


Company incorporation form (SPICE)-When your company name is approved, the final step is to work on your spice form and submit it to the ROC. Once you submit the form, the ROC will take a close look at your spice form and MOA of the company and certification of incorporation will be issued.
